Plushies Around the World Project (PAWP)!!

Hey Plushkateers!!

It's an exciting time for lots of Plushie-Database members right now, because the PLUSHIES AROUND THE WORLD PROJECT (PAWP) is back!!

What is PAWP?
PAWP is a fun and exciting way to make new friends, improve sewing skills and get souveniers from places we may never visit!!

But how?!
By making a small plushie to send to other Plushie-Database members from around the globe, to collect flags from their countries or states!!

What do I need to do?
Make a small plushie. No bigger than a postcard and as flat as possible, to save money on Postage and Packaging!!
Write a little note saying who the plush is from and where to send it back to.
Make a handful of little flags of your country or state. You will sew these onto the plushies you recieve from other members!!
Add your name onto the Participant's List and choose who you'd like to send your plushie to! Then send that participant a note asking if it is ok to send it to them!! If they say no, don't take offence, some participants may want to only send and recieve from their country.
Once you have your destination, say goodbye to plushie and wait for them to come back to you sporting a lovely flag
You may join in any time you wish!

This means you will be sending your full name and address to other people. Please get permission if you are underage or if you are not the primary homeowner.

It is advised that you send plushies in a padded envelope rather than a box as it is much cheaper to send!!

Sending Methods
The 'one-at-a-time' method
Make plushie, etc. (see above).
Pick someone to send to, and have them accept.
Send plushie.
Plushie will get sent back to you with added flag.

The 'chain' method'
Make plushie, etc. (see above).
Pick several destinations, message all of them and have them accept.
You send to person 1.
Person 1 adds their flag, then sends to person 2.
Person 2 adds their flag, then sends to person 3.
This continues until the plushie has collected flags from all people involved, it is then returned to you.

It is up to you which method you choose, but please remember some senders will not send out of their country, so make sure you understand this before attempting the chain method!


When I recieve a plushie, can I send other things back with it?
Of course you can!! Just keep in mind the cost of Postage and Packaging
If you live near a landmark or interesting place, it might be nice to include a picture of the plushie next to it, but it's entirely up to you

Wanna join, but don't have time to make a plush of your own?
You can just join in with the recieving if you wish!!

Rules
The plushie MUST make its way back to the original owner once it has been on its travels. Failure to return the plushie, or pass it on to its' next destination will get you BANNED from the group. We do not tollerate thieves.
When recieving a plushie, please have respect for it. Haha,  what I mean is, for example, don't sew a flag over one of its eyes, don't draw on it, don't let your baby brother play with it!! Simply sew  on the flag, and send it back to its' original destination
Please remember that some people have pet allergies, please don't let your pets anywhere near the plushie
Please try to open packages containing plushies carefully and seal shut again with strong tape!! This way we can try to use the same packaging again and again to avoid spending loads of cash on packaging! Of course, if you think the packaging needs replacing, please do so
Please pass plushies on as quickly as you can! We want to get around the world by the end of summer!!
If you NEED to drop out (due to lack of funds, personal problems etc.) please let me know IMMEDIATELY so we can get you off the list
Please be aware that there may be a small chance of your plushie getting lost in the mail (it happened to me last year, but she showed up eventually!!) so please don't send anything valuable!!
